A.I. in Google Chrome

I recently discovered that inside of Google Chrome you have the ability to use Gemini, Google’s AI chatbot, to scan and read pages and use it to help with tasks or research. If you click on the three vertical dots just below the X button, scroll down to where it says, “Open Gemini in Chrome.” A panel will open up to the right side of the screen and this is where the magic happens. At this point, if you are doing some sort of research you can tell it to summarize or extract specific information. For example, if you were researching different types of wildlife in Texas you could then tell it to narrow down the animals to ones that reside in Georgetown to get a smaller list. You might even use it to get more context on information contained on the website. Using our Georgetown wildlife example, you could ask Gemini to tell you more about the Fox Squirrel. And all of this happens on the right-hand side panel without leaving the website you started on. I’m sure there are other uses you can use that I have yet to discover. But this has definitely changed how I am doing research on topics I am interested in.
