Office 2024 Now Available

If you hate the trend of software being sold as a subscription, you have one small bright spot in last month's news: Microsoft has begun selling the traditional pay-once version of Office 2024. This type of license is for a single PC or Mac (unlike the 365 subscription which is licensed per user, and can be installed on multiple computers), but you can use it without paying Microsoft another dime as long as you have the computer. You won’t get any of the additional benefits that are part of a 365 subscription like OneDrive storage or voice transcription, but if you don’t need those then this new version of Office may be pretty attractive. Surprisingly, Microsoft has kept the price point the same as prior editions: $150 for the Home version and $250 for the Business version. If you need assistance deciding whether to upgrade or not, or have purchased it but need help installing, just let us know.
