Changes to Microsoft 365 Business Plans

An email arrived in my inbox on April 1st that announced Microsoft is making an important change to its plan offerings – they are removing the collaboration software Teams from their bundles. At first I thought it was a joke, because many people grumble about Teams showing up when and where it’s least wanted, but this is one of those times where it seems Microsoft has actually listened to its users.  To be clear, this change only applies to 365 Business licenses, and Teams is not going away. What’s really happening is that Microsoft is un-bundling Teams from its regular packages. This will give businesses the flexibility to keep Teams if they are using it by adding on a license, or move to a slightly cheaper package if they are not. If you are a business that does not use Teams, reach out to us to see if you can save on your monthly or annual licensing costs.
