Geek Speak: Common Abbreviations

How is your geek speak these days? We may use these common abbreviations in our conversations, so take a minute to make sure you know what they stand for!

IT – Information Technology

RAM – Random Access Memory, the “short-term memory" of your computer

DVD – Digital Versatile (or Video) Disk

AI – Artificial Intelligence

2FA – Two-factor Authentication (also called MFA or multi-factor authentication)

ISP – Internet Service Provider (such as Suddenlink or Google Fiber) Wi-Fi – Doesn’t actually stand for "wireless fidelity", it’s a trademarked name!
