I recently became aware of a class action lawsuit against local internet company Optimum (formerly Suddenlink). I’ve written before about my mixed feelings regarding class action lawsuits, but I didn’t hesitate to sign on to this one. It’s well known that this Georgetown-area provider is not very popular. If you had Suddenlink internet and/or TV service at any point during the last five years you may be eligible for up to $27.50. The claim is that certain fees were charged without being clearly disclosed; as with most class action settlements the defendant claims they did nothing wrong. To sign up to be a party to the settlement, visit the official site here.
