Scammer Payback

Reader: I have found your new favorite source of entertainment! I know unfortunately a lot of you have encountered scammers; Ben and I have, too, on a regular occurrence. But what if I told you there are some funny Youtubers out there whose sole purpose is to waste scammers' time and even hack their computers, bricking their systems (completely breaking their computers) and occasionally getting somebody arrested. One prankster I love to watch is Scammer Payback. These guys will actively hack scammers' computers doing all sorts of crazy things: messing with their computers, turning on their webcam to exposing them, and - my personal favorite - saving victims mid-scam. They will hack into phone calls to tell the potential victim to hang up because they are actively being scammed. In one episode, they stopped a lady from handing over cash to a money mule. Sometimes the main guy will put on a voice changer to sound like an old lady and waste scammers time to the point they're shouting angrily. It makes for great entertainment! Another Youtuber who I find very entertaining is Kitboga. He has long videos dedicated to making scammers as mad as he possibly can. He doesn’t really do any hacking, just puts on a voice changer and pretends to be the most clueless tech user in the world just to get these scammers angry and waste hours of their day.Â
I definitely recommend watching some of their content. Not only will it educate you on how these scams work, it might also prevent your chances of falling victim. If you do give these guys a watch let me know what you think of their content!
