Do you ever get spam messages as a text on your phone? These annoying invasions of your privacy are becoming more common, unfortunately. And if you are unlucky enough to receive one as part of a group text, other strangers on the thread may begin replying “Stop this!” without realizing they are also sending their hate-filled message to everyone else and perpetuating the frustration! Thankfully, cell phone carriers are beginning to implement controls to reduce these unwanted texts. If you receive a spam text, do not reply or click on any links! Instead, forward the message to 7726 (SPAM) to report it. All three major carriers (AT&T, T-Mobile, & Verizon) accept reports in this way and it helps to train their filters and block out the bad guys.
