What do I do with an old computer?

Even if you are the type of person to squeeze every ounce of usability out of an old computer, eventually it will be replaced and relegated to the bottom of your closet, collecting dust. So what do you do with it come spring cleaning time? Goodwill in Georgetown will accept donations of old computers (Caring Place does not). Best Buy and Office Depot will recycle computers for free and for $15, respectively. But be aware that none of these options include erasing your data. You can remove the hard drive before donating or recycling, or I can securely erase your hard drive for a nominal fee.
