You may recall that two months ago we reviewed Microsoft’s announcement of Windows 11. It officially will be released next week, but I strongly encourage you to wait at least a few months before making any firm plans to replace or upgrade your computer. Speaking of upgrading, Microsoft has released an improved “PC Health Check” app that will evaluate your computer’s compatibility with Windows 11. If it’s not compatible, it will show you which components are at fault. Feel free to share these results with me and we can discuss if it’s worth upgrading those components or purchasing a new computer. But remember – Windows 10 will continue to be supported into 2025, so it is not necessary to upgrade for quite a while!
