Windows PowerToys

Updated: Nov 4, 2022

Way back in the Windows 95 days, Microsoft released a free add-in software package called PowerToys that was a bundle of mini utilities aimed towards “power users”. Rather than be rolled into the standard feature set, this PowerToys bundle persists as a separate set of features for every version of Windows. If you are curious about what it contains, you can view the list of utilities here. I personally love the “ImageResizer” tool. When you right click on an image or set of images you are given the ability to resize using presets or custom sizes. This is particularly helpful when you want to email a batch of images but they are too large to be attached. If you find these utilities intriguing but don’t consider yourself a “power user”, reach out to me for assistance in installing and using the tools.
