Google Admits to Losing User Data

Cloud storage is a method that many of us use for storing files, with programs such as OneDrive, Google Drive, and iCloud. Unfortunately, no program is perfect, and Google recently admitted that a “small subset” of Google Drive for Desktop users had their data deleted. A bug in a particular version had some users lose up to several months of data. Google did release a fix with the latest version of the app, but this may have set back consumer confidence in their product and cloud storage in general. If you are hesitant about cloud storage, you can always store your files in more than one place (i.e., having both cloud and local storage) or reach out to us if you would like alternate ways of backing up your files.
